FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of porous fibers for reducing the concentration of blood-derived extracellular vesicles, in particular microvesicles, and exosomes and exomers, in blood and blood derivatives. In vitro use of porous fibers having a porosity of 20 to 500 nm is proposed in gravity filtration to reduce the concentration of extracellular vesicles in a blood sample or a fluid sample derived from blood components selected from the group including red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and combinations thereof, wherein such extracellular vesicles are smaller in size than the porosity of the porous fibers. Also an in vitro method for obtaining blood or a blood derivative with a reduced concentration of extracellular vesicles derived from blood components, an in vitro method for analyzing the content of extracellular vesicles in a blood sample or a sample of fluid derived from blood are disclosed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a decrease in the concentration of extracellular vesicles in a blood sample or a liquid sample using porous fibers having a porosity of 20 to 500 nm.
