FIELD: machining.
SUBSTANCE: method includes fixing an insulated metal workpiece in a chuck, processing the workpiece by means of a drill electrically isolated from the machine, during which thermo-EMF is measured using measuring tools and torque is measured using an electronic dynamometer fixed on the machine table. At the same time, holes are made in the workpiece on one side, in which dielectric bushings are placed with thermal paste and thermocouples placed inside them, installed with the ability to determine the temperature parameters of the peripheral part of the drill, and on the opposite side of the workpiece, strain gauges are placed on it with the ability to determine the contact interaction of the drill with the workpiece. An amplifier, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a personal computer containing PowerGraph Professional software, connected in series, are used as measuring instruments. EFFECT: possibility to determine the temperature and power parameters of the cutting process during drilling more accurately and reliably.
