FIELD: strapping machines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to strapping machines capable of strapping an object, such as a reinforcing bar, with a wire. The strapping machine comprises a first body part having a working part which is controlled by a worker; a second housing part having a feed unit configured to feed the wire, a guide part configured to guide the wire fed by the feed unit into the surroundings of the object to be tied, and a twisting unit configured to twist the wire guided by the guide part by this by tying the object being tied. The elongated connecting part is configured to connect the first body part and the second body part. The first output block is configured to detect the operation of the working part and output the first signal. The second output unit is configured to detect that the object to be tied is inserted into the wire feed path guided by the guide portion and output the second signal. The control unit controls the feeding unit and the twisting unit to perform the strapping operation when the control unit detects the first signal output from the first output unit and the second signal output from the second output unit. The control unit is configured to carry out the strapping operation even if the output of the first signal becomes turned off when the second signal is detected by the control unit after the first signal is detected until a predetermined time has elapsed.

EFFECT: prevention of strapping in case of displacement of the strapped object from the center between two fixed teeth. Variants of execution of the strapping machine are presented.
