SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used to protect documents from illegal reproduction. The method for producing a layer with an optical effect containing an ornament includes applying a curable composition to the substrate. The coating contains non-spherical magnetic or magnetisable particles. The coating layer is subjected to a magnetic field with the orientation of non-spherical magnetic or magnetisable particles. The first region of the coating layer is irradiated with an LED source of actinic radiation with fixation of non-spherical magnetic or magnetisable particles. The coating layer is then subjected to a magnetic field with non-spherical magnetic or magnetisable particles oriented in the second region, and the second region of the coating layer is cured. The LED source of actinic radiation contains a matrix of individually addressable radiation emitters. The actinic radiation of the LED source is projected by the projector onto the coating layer while reducing the size of the projected image. Also proposed is a device for obtaining a layer with an optical effect.

EFFECT: group of inventions improves the resolution of a drawing made on a layer with an optical effect.
