FIELD: medicine; hematology.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns a method for morphometric prediction of the course of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) by the content of AIF-positive tumor cells in the lymph nodes. The method includes immunohistochemical staining in histological sections after biopsy of lymph nodes and morphometric calculation of the relative number of AIF-positive tumor cells according to the formula. As a result, at the values of AIF-positive tumor cells ≥ 57% a favorable course of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is predicted. When the content of AIF-positive cells < 57% an unfavorable course of the disease is predicted.

EFFECT: method is informative, can be used in practical hematology to predict the course of DLBCL and select the optimal therapeutic approach.
