FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, particularly to hematology and oncology. To predict the course of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), after lymphadenectomy, immunohistochemical analysis is conducted on slices of lymph nodes with antibodies against pSTAT3 and pAKT1. The relative amount of tumour cells expressing pSTAT3 and pAKT1 is calculated by the formula: S1=D1/n × 100%, wherein S1 is the proportion of pSTAT3 positive cells in the lymph node (%), D1 is the average amount of pSTAT3 positive cells in 10 fields of view, n is the total amount of cells in 10 fields of view; S2=D2/n × 100%, wherein S2 is the proportion of pAKT1 positive cells in the lymph node (%), D2 is the average amount of pAKT1 positive elements in 10 fields of view, n is the total amount of cells in 10 fields of view. The proportion index (PI) is determined by the formula, %: PI =(S1+S2)/2. At PI values less than 70%, a favourable course of DLBCL, and at values of 70% or greater, an unfavourable outcome of the disease is predicted.
EFFECT: method is informative and can be used in hematology and pathology departments, pathomorphological laboratories as an additional criterion for predicting the course of DLCCL.
