SUBSTANCE: in the method for controlling the acceleration and deceleration of a vehicle with a traction electric drive, using one travel pedal, the torque and regenerative torque settings are formed on the traction motor shaft. Based on the sensor signals, the current speed of the vehicle, the current position of the accelerator pedal are determined, the position of the boundaries of the zones is calculated: traction mode, inertial mode, braking mode, the right boundary of the overrun zone and the left boundary of the overrun zone, and the required longitudinal acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle is continuously adjusted after changing the position of the accelerator pedal by adjusting the setting of the traction and regenerative torque of the electric motor.

EFFECT: energy efficiency of the vehicle is improved.
