FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of sunscreen components. As a carrier of the composite material, cerium(IV) hydroorthophosphate of the composition Се2(РО4)2(НРО4)⋅Н2О is used, which has a lamellar microstructure, whose specimen weighing 0.03 g is kept in 20 ml of 1 M NaOH aqueous solution in a closed container while stirring for 24-96 hours. Then the precipitate is washed with distilled water until a neutral pH value, dried at a temperature of 60°C to constant weight and annealed at temperatures up to 1000°C.
EFFECT: cerium phosphate powder with a lamellar microstructure and cerium dioxide on the surface.
