FIELD: medicine, oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for diagnosing lymphogenous metastasis of colon cancer. Tumor tissue taken during colonoscopy at the preoperative stage is examined by flow cytometry. The following is determined: lymphOD in the tissue — the total number of lymphocytes in the tumor tissue, CD3+ OP — T-lymphocytes in the tumor tissue, on CD45+ and CD45- cell populations with the calculation of the percentage of cells of the corresponding phenotype relative to the total number of cells. The following is also determined: expression of CD45-TLR2+op — CD45 cells expressing TLR2+ in tumor tissue, CD45-TLR4+op — CD45- cells expressing TLR4+ in tumor tissue, CD45+TLR2+op — CD45+ cells expressing TLR2+ in tumor tissue, CD45+ TLR4+op — CD45+ cells expressing TLR4+ in tumor tissue. Then the rate of lymphogenous metastasis of colon cancer is determined by the following formula:
Z= , where P = 0.315*limfOp + 0.048*CD3Op + 0.014*СD45-TLR2+op + 0.016*СD45-TLR4+op + 0.2*СD45+TLR2+op - 0.13*СD45+TLR4+op -5.24. 0.315, 0.048, 0.014, 0.016, 0.2, 0.13, 5.24 are the coefficients. If the Z value is equal to or higher than 0.25, lymphogenous tumor metastasis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility to diagnose lymphogenous metastasis in colon cancer by using the results of evaluation of some immunological characteristics of the primary tumor.
