FIELD: aerosol generating devices.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an aerosol generating device (10) for generating an aerosol by inductively heating an aerosol generating substrate (91). The device includes a device body containing a cavity (20) configured to accommodate an aerosol generating substrate to be heated. The device additionally contains an induction source containing an induction coil (31) for generating an alternating magnetic field inside the cavity, while the induction coil is located around at least part of the receiving cavity. The device also contains a flow concentrator (33) located around the induction coil and configured to deform the alternating magnetic field of the induction source during use of the device in the direction of the cavity. In addition, the device contains a tie layer (40) tightly connected to at least a part of the flow concentrator to keep fragments of the flow concentrator connected in case of separation of the flow concentrator into fragments, while the tie layer contains or consists of a polymer poly(p-xylylene). The invention further relates to an aerosol generating system comprising an aerosol generating device according to the invention and an aerosol generating article for use with the device, the article comprising an aerosol generating substrate to be heated.
