FIELD: device for comparing aerosol generating devices.

SUBSTANCE: device contains a casing and the first section for evaluation defining the first air flow path. The first section to evaluate contains a first channel containing an input end and an output end. The inlet end is configured to accommodate the mouth end of the aerosol generating system or smoking article. It also contains the first pump in fluid communication with the outlet end of the first channel and configured to draw fluid through the first channel from the inlet end to the outlet end. Also contains the first cover located on the casing. The first cover and casing together form the first chamber. The first chamber surrounds at least the inlet end of the first channel and an aerosol generating system or smoking article located at the inlet end of the first channel, and a second evaluation section defining the second air flow path. The second section for evaluation contains a second channel containing an input end and an output end. The outlet end is configured to accommodate the mouth end of the device for generating an aerosol or a smoking article. Also included is a second pump in fluid communication with the outlet end of the second channel and configured to draw fluid through the second channel from the inlet end to the outlet end. Also, the device includes a second cover located on the casing, and the second cover and the casing together form a second chamber. The second chamber surrounds the inlet end of the second channel and an aerosol generating article or smoking article placed at the inlet end of the second channel.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of comparing the smoke generated by a smoking article with an aerosol and generated by an aerosol generating system.
