FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: method has been proposed for purification of polyglycolide and its copolymers with a high content of glycolide, in which purification of the polymers is carried out by reprecipitation from a 10-15 wt.% solution in dimethyl sulfoxide obtained at 140-180°C under the conditions of intensive mixing, followed by precipitation of the polymer in a 5-10-fold excess of the precipitant, which belongs to the classes of low-boiling C1-C4 aliphatic alcohols, cyclic ethers and linear esters, ketones with high dissolving power in relation to glycolide and lactide.
EFFECT: development of a method for purification of polyglycolide and its copolymers, which makes it possible to achieve a high degree of purification of polymers without the use of specific chemicals.
