FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refining of molten steel using a device for RH-vacuum degassing. Parameters for specific power controlε mixing for molten steel inside the vacuum vessel are, in addition to the dimensions of the device, the immersion depth I of the immersion pipe in the molten steel inside the vacuum vessel, the flow rate G of the circulating gas and the degree of vacuum P inside the vacuum vessel. Specific powerε of mixing is controlled by changing the depth I of immersion of the dip tube into the molten steel inside the vacuum vessel or the flow rate G of the circulation gas.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the circulation rate during vacuum decarburization and reduce the time of out-of-furnace treatment of steel.
