FIELD: medicine; urology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to predict urinary incontinence after radical robot-assisted prostatectomy. Before surgery, the presence of an overactive bladder and a history of prostate surgery, the patient's age, body mass index, size of the levator ani muscle, prostate volume, length of the membranous urethra, thickness of the bladder neck are determined. In the presence of an overactive bladder, a history of prostate surgery, age over 66 years, BMI over 28.62 kg/m2, levator ani muscle size less than 4.15 mm, prostate volume over 62.8 cm3, the length of the membranous urethra less than 11.9 mm, the thickness of the bladder neck less than 3.9 mm, urinary incontinence is predicted after radical robot-assisted prostatectomy.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of a preventive choice of tactics for managing patients in the postoperative period to prevent urinary incontinence with an increase in the quality of life.
