SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining a protein preparation from sunflower or canola seeds includes cleaning the raw material to the content of the husk <5 wt.%, mechanical partial degreasing of peeled seeds by pressing to a fat or oil content ranging from >7 to <35 wt.%, carrying out one or more extraction stages with at least one organic solvent, and at least one of the extraction stages additional degreasing of the seeds occurs and after the previous or simultaneous grinding of the cake obtained by mechanical partial defatting, to particle size <2mm or flake thickness <2 mm, carry out immersion extraction, with at least one stage of extraction for further degreasing using an organic solvent. The use of a protein preparation as a protein supplement in food and feed products is also described.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a product with a high protein content and preservation of its properties, which is universally applicable in food and animal fodder.
