METHOD OF ASSESSING PROBABILITY OF DECREASE IN POST-VACCINATION HUMORAL IMMUNITY TO DIPHTHERIA IN SCHOOLCHILDREN ASSOCIATED WITH COMBINED COMPLEX EFFECTS OF NICKEL AND CHROMIUM IN INHALED AIR, AS WELL AS WITH DIETARY AND LIFESTYLE CHARACTERISTICS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/49 G01N33/50 G01N33/68 G01N33/84

Abstract RU 2805821 C1

FIELD: medicine; immunology; vaccinology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the probability of a decrease in post-vaccination humoral immunity to diphtheria in schoolchildren associated with the combined complex effects of nickel and chromium in the inhaled air, as well as with dietary and lifestyle characteristics. Toxicological and laboratory prognostic indicators are determined in the child. The content of nickel and chromium in a child’s blood sample is determined as toxicological indicators. As laboratory indicators, the following levels are determined in the blood: malondialdehyde (MDA) in the blood plasma, plasma antioxidant activity (AOA), the relative content of CD16+CD56+ lymphocytes, and immunoglobulin M (IgM). Additionally, diagnostic criteria relating to dietary habits and lifestyle are determined. The consumption of chicken meat and milk is established as criteria regarding the nutritional characteristics of a schoolchild. The criteria regarding lifestyle the following is determined: the duration of additional education, in addition to school, and the duration of physical education and sports in a weekly cycle. If the schoolchild simultaneously has the following conditions: if the schoolchild has nickel in the blood equal to 0.0049–0.0065 μg/cm3 and chromium equal to 0.0053–0.0069 μg/cm3; when the level of MDA in the blood is 2.2 µmol/cm3 and above; with plasma antioxidant activity of 38.46% and below; with a relative content of CD16+CD56+- lymphocytes of 14% and below; at an IgM level of 1.53 g/dm3 and below; when the consumption of chicken meat increases by 26.8% or more compared to the average daily norms; when milk consumption decreases by 89.7% or more compared to the average daily norms; with the simultaneous duration of additional education in addition to school more than 3 hours per week, and physical education and sports less than 3 hours per week, it is concluded that there is a high degree of probability of a decrease in post-vaccination humoral immunity to diphtheria in schoolchildren.

EFFECT: method provides the ability to assess the probability of a violation of post-vaccination humoral immunity to diphtheria in schoolchildren exposed to the combined effects of environmental chemical toxicants such as nickel and chromium in the inhaled air, as well as dietary and lifestyle characteristics, by determining the above-mentioned toxicological and laboratory parameters, as well as defining criteria related to nutrition and lifestyle.
