SUBSTANCE: method for producing suberanilic acid, a precursor to vorinostat, which is an active substance used in the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. The method involves reductive amidation of suberic acid with nitrobenzene under the action of a converter gas with a volume content of carbon monoxide of more than 20% catalyzed by a Group VIII metal salt in a polar organic solvent at elevated pressure and temperature.
EFFECT: effective and simple method for obtaining the target product from available raw materials with a high potential for industrial implementation.
