FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: strain gauge (SG) sensors for measuring forces, overloads, moments, with an elastic element (EE) in the form of a cylinder with an internal cylindrical channel. The method consists in the fact that the SG is fixed with adhesive tape on the back side of a flexible substrate, which is placed with its front side on a mandrel, dressed in a rubber pipe, and twisted around the pipe into a cylinder; glue is applied to the SG, the mandrel with the substrate is inserted into the inner cylinder of the EE, and they are placed in a heat chamber heated to 60…70°C, pressurized air is supplied to the mandrel at 2…3 kg/cm2, the nozzle inflates and presses the SG and the substrate to the surface of the cylinder, the adhesive polymerizes under pressure and at temperature, and the SG is securely glued to the cylinder wall, after which the mandrel with the nozzle is removed from the EE cavity.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of location and fastening of the SG on the EE with an internal cylindrical cavity, reduced labour intensity of SG gluing on similar EE, possibility of group gluing for EE for different loads and for various purposes.
