FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods for determining the location of a radar station (RS) with a scanning pattern (SP), and is intended for use in navigation, direction finding, and location aids for determining the location of a RS with a SP. The method is based on receiving radio signals from a RS with a SP by each of the receiving points (RP) with known coordinates. For each pair of RPs, based on the measured scanning period of the RS SP and the difference in the time of reception of the maximum power of the radio signal of the radar by each of the RPs, the difference in azimuths of the RP, counted from the RS, is calculated. For each pair of RPs, a RS position line (PL) is formed, each point of which has a calculated azimuth difference relative to the RP, by constructing two symmetrical circle segments on the chord connecting the RPs of the specified pair, and the coordinates of the intersection point of at least two RS PLs are taken as radar coordinates.

EFFECT: achieving higher accuracy in determining the coordinates of a RS with a SP.
