SUBSTANCE: evaporator that makes it possible to obtain valuable products from heavy residues, which, as a rule, are refractory products. An evaporator for concentrating hydrocracking residue contains a distribution device located in the upper part of the apparatus and configured to supply hydrocracking residue into the apparatus, a tubular housing with a vertical wall forming a chamber, a rotor mounted coaxially to the housing, blades mounted on the rotor, and the housing is equipped with a double jacket designed to be heated by flue gases.

EFFECT: prevention of local overheating of the evaporated raw material and the provision of a concentrated hydrocracking residue with characteristics and properties that allow it to be used as a sintering additive.
