FIELD: medical device.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a metal material for a medical device, the said medical device includes the said metal material, and a method of producing a metal material for a medical device. The metal material for the medical device includes a metal layer and a layer of diamond-like carbon located on the metal layer and containing fluorine and silicon. The invention relates to a medical device such as a stent, in particular a stent for a lower limb blood vessel using the above material. The method includes forming a layer of diamond-like carbon containing fluorine and silicon on a metal layer by vapor deposition, a vapor growth method using a mixed raw material obtained by mixing a silane compound and a fluorine-containing aliphatic hydrocarbon as raw materials.
EFFECT: invention provides a medical material for a medical device that has the ability to follow the movement of a living organism and the flexibility to flexibly deform under the influence of various stresses during tracking.
