SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the failure of the bronchial stump after pneumonectomy. Determining the risk of developing bronchial stump incompetence is carried out by measuring and assessing the level of c-reactive protein and blood albumin the next morning after surgery. Based on the ratio of these indicators, the prognostic coefficient (PC) is determined using the formula PC = CRP/Alb, where CRP is c-reactive protein (mg/l), Alb is albumin (g/l). With PC values less than 2.6, a low probability of developing insolvency is predicted. When PC is more than 2.6, a high probability of developing postoperative bronchial stump failure is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides the ability to predict the occurrence of failure of the stump of the main bronchus after pneumonectomy by determining the following laboratory markers: c-reactive protein and blood albumin and a prognostic coefficient, which allows to reduce postoperative mortality, improve the quality of life of patients, significantly reduce the cost of treatment and the length of stay of patients in the intensive care unit and intensive care.
