FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: coated dried food piece containing a piece of food that has a surface, and a coating having a crystallinity of 20% to 60% on at least a portion of the said surface. The said coating contains soluble solids, including erythritol, where at least part of the erythritol is crystalline erythritol, and sucrose, where at least part of the sucrose is crystalline sucrose. The moisture content of a dried coated piece of food ranges from 2% to 3.5%.
EFFECT: invention provides a product with a reduced sugar content.
