SUBSTANCE: method of preserving alfalfa for the production of feed for farm animals is characterized by the following: it includes drying, grinding, adding a biological preservative, sealing and aging, and a composition of strains is used as a biological preservative in an amount of 2.5 ml/t of biomass, at the following concentrations of CFU/ml: rod-shaped Lactobacillus plantarum VKPM V-5337 – up to 3.5*1010 CFU/ml and coccal form of Lactococcus lactis B-4989 – up to 3.5*1010 CFU/ml, Enterococcus faecium B-4489 – up to 1*1010 CFU/ml, propionic acid bacteria Propionibacterium freudenreichii B-9653 – up to 1*1010 CFU/ml, as well as Bacillus subtillis B-4506 – up to 1*1010 CFU/ml.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to prevent unwanted losses of nutrients and guarantee the aerobic stability of the finished feed.
