FIELD: mechanical engineering; methods for controlling personal mobility devices.
SUBSTANCE: method contains the following steps. A map of zones with established rules for managing the personal mobility device is created and transmitted to the IoT module of the personal mobility device. Current location data is received from the location sensor installed on the personal mobility device to the IoT module installed on the personal mobility device. The IoT module converts current location data into cell values. The values of the cells of the current location data are searched for according to the values of the cells of the created zone map with established rules for controlling the personal mobility device. If a cell value occurrence of the current location data is defined in one of the zone map cells, a value corresponding to the control method of the personal mobility device is retrieved and applied to the personal mobility device. The zone map is a set of cells, with each cell having a value corresponding to the way the personal mobility device is controlled.
EFFECT: reduction in the latency time for processing geographic data.
