FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: following is proposed: a method of obtaining an aluminum hydroxide oil vaccine against escherichiosis in calves and piglets, including the selection of epizootic Escherichia coli strains possessing genes for heat-labile, heat-stable and Shiga-like toxins, their cultivation in nutrient broth at 37°C for 6–7 days with daily double stirring, subsequent inactivation with formalin to its final concentration of 0.4% for 14 days, mixing cultures in equal proportions and separating the bacterial mass using sterilizing filtration, with 2% used as adjuvants — suspension Al(OH)3 and an oil adjuvant consisting of an emulsifier, which is used as a biologically inert organosilicon compound cetyl-PEG/PPG-10/1-dimethicone — 1.5% and an oil base — vaccine oil "M" — 98.5% at a given ratio.
EFFECT: invention increases the immunogenicity of the vaccine to provide specific prevention of escherichiosis in calves and piglets and expand the range of vaccines.
