FIELD: medicine; traumatology and orthopaedics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for an integral assessment of the morphofunctional status of platelets during experimental orthopaedic surgical interventions. Blood is taken before surgery and the morphofunctional characteristics of platelets are analysed. The following is determined: platelet count× 10 9 /l, platelet aggregation in % with the inducer adenosine diphosphate (ADP), average platelet volume in fl, number of platelets containing 3 or more granules, in % with fluorescence microscopy. The obtained values of platelet parameters are converted into points from 1 to 4:
1 point is assigned when platelet count is 100–200; platelet aggregation is 20–30; average platelet volume is 6.0–6.5; number of platelets containing 3 or more granules is 50–60,
2 points are assigned when platelet count is 201–300; platelet aggregation is 31–40; average platelet volume is 6.6–7.0; number of platelets containing 3 or more granules is 61–70,
3 points are assigned when count is 301–400; platelet aggregation is 41–50; average platelet volume is 7.1–7.5; number of platelets containing 3 or more granules is 71–80,
4 points are assigned when platelet count is 401–500; platelet aggregation is 51–60; average platelet volume is 7.6–8.0; the number of platelets containing 3 or more granules is 81–90. All the points are summed up. If the score is greater than or equal to 10, the integral morphofunctional status of platelets is assessed as normal. If the total score is less than 10, the integral morphofunctional status of platelets is assessed as reduced.
EFFECT: method provides the ability to assess the integral morphofunctional status of platelets for a comprehensive assessment of platelets, by measuring their number, morphological parameters, aggregation activity, granule content, which will objectify and increase the diagnostic significance of the method for platelet characterization of potential during surgical interventions in traumatology and orthopedics.
