FIELD: agriculture; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for measuring the length of the contact spot of tire (10), in particular, of agricultural machines. System comprises a first electronic device (1) and a second electronic device (2), each of which is configured to at least receive, filter, store and send data, and processing unit (3) external to electronic devices (1, 2), configured to at least receive and process data sent by each electronic device (1, 2) to measure the length of the contact spot based on angle (β) between first axle (B1) passing through centre (O) of tire (10) and first point (CP1) of contact between section of tire (10) and ground, and second axis (B2) passing through centre of tire (10) and second point (CP2) of contact between said section of tire (10) and ground. Present invention also relates to a method for measuring the length of the contact spot of tire (10), which includes the above system.
EFFECT: improving measurement accuracy of tire contact spot length.
