FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol delivery device and a method for operation of an aerosol delivery device. The aerosol delivery device contains: a heating node, which is made with the possibility of heating of aerosol generation material, while the heating node contains an inductance coil, which is made with the possibility of generation of a varying magnetic field, and a perceiving element, which is made with the possibility of heating of aerosol generation material, wherein the perceiving element can be heated due to penetration of the varying magnetic field; an indication node; an input interface, which is made with the possibility of reception of input data for selection of a heating mode from a set of heating modes, which include the first mode and the second mode; and a controller. The controller is made with the possibility of: detection of input data for selection of the heating mode; and, in accordance with detected input data: determination of the selected heating mode based on input data; inducement of the heating node to start heating of aerosol generation material in accordance with the selected heating mode, which is possible due to inducement of the inductance coil to generate the varying magnetic field; and inducement of the indication node to indicate that the device is ready to use after a preset time period expires, after inducement of the heating node to start heating of aerosol generation material.

EFFECT: creation of an aerosol delivery device allowing for more efficient use of energy.
