FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics and can be used for selection of stallions with high sperm quality. Blood samples are taken. Blood serum is obtained. Testosterone concentration is determined. If the testosterone concentration in the blood serum is lower than 1.77 nmol/l, the stallion should be referred to the group with high sperm quality. If testosterone concentration in blood serum is higher than 1.77 nmol/l, respectively, to the group with low sperm quality.

EFFECT: method enables to determine the quality of stallion sperm, without the need to know sperm cell motility, which in turn makes it possible not to resort to sperm sampling.
