The method for evaluating the quality of sperm of stallions by the level of superoxide dismutase activity in spermatozoa includes the selection of sperm samples, obtaining spermatozoa, determining the level of superoxide dismutase activity in it. If the level of superoxide dismutase activity in the sperm plasma is above 47 U/ml, the stallion is referred to the group of animals with high sperm quality, and if the level of superoxide dismutase activity in the sperm plasma is below 47 U/ml, respectively, to the group with low sperm quality.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to assess the quality of sperm without spending time evaluating the semen according to its parameters.
