FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for selection of stallions with high cryo-resistance of sperm. Concentration of oestradiol in blood serum is determined. If the concentration of oestradiol in blood serum is higher than 153.5 pmol/l, the stallion is referred to a group with high cryo-resistance of sperm. If concentration of oestradiol in blood serum is below 153.5 pmol/l, – to group with low cryo-resistance of sperm.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine cryo-resistance of stallion sperm, without need to know survival rate of sperm cells at temperature of 2–4 °C, which in turn makes it possible not to recourse to sperm sampling.
