SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building in part of creation of hand tools with fast clamping of parts with increased force, as well as with the possibility of their subsequent retention without application of forces by the user, including for fast positioning and fastening of some parts relative to others. Articulated tool comprises first and second pivotally connected links, locking means for locking mutual rotation of first and second links, as well as a lever mechanism, wherein the first link has a first working part and a first handle, the second working part is pivotally connected to the second link, the lever mechanism includes a second link with a support link function, a second working part and a third link with a second handle for transmitting a force from the third link with an increase to the second working part, wherein the locking means is configured to lock the mutual rotation of the first and second links only in the direction corresponding to the separation of the first and second handles, and third link is spring-loaded relative to second link in direction corresponding to separation of first and second handles.

EFFECT: increased convenience of use of the tool due to the possibility of adjusting the size of the mouth in a wide range and subsequent action on the object with increased force by using one hand of the user, as well as expansion of its functional properties by fixation of position of links of tool in working condition with increased force and adjustment of level of increased force in fixed position.
