FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, in particular to devices simulating the tobacco smoking process. Article for generating an aerosol when heated comprises a rod of an aerosol-forming substrate and a filter located downstream of the rod of the aerosol-forming substrate. Rod of aerosol-forming substrate and filter are formed inside wrapper. Aerosol-generating article comprises first and second air intake zones arranged on wrapper. Each of the first and second air intake zones is configured to provide air intake into the inner space of the article. First zone of air intake contains porous part of wrapper, having porosity of at least 3000 units of Coresta. Level of air intake into the inner space of the article through the first air intake zone is higher than the level of air intake into the inner space of the article through the second air intake zone. Aerosol generation system comprises the disclosed aerosol generation article and the aerosol generation device having a distal end and a mouthpiece end. Casing defines a cavity of the device for containing the article with the possibility of extracting the article at the mouth end of the device. System includes a heater for heating the aerosol-generating substrate and an air flow channel. Aerosol generation system is designed so that when the article is placed inside the cavity of the device, a fluid communication is created between the inner space of the device and the external part of the device by creating a fluid communication between the first air intake zone of the article placed inside the cavity of the device and the air flow channel of the device.

EFFECT: increased cooling and aerosol nucleation.
