FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the tobacco industry, in particular to devices simulating the tobacco smoking process. Aerosol-generating article for generating an aerosol when heated comprises a rod of an aerosol-forming substrate and a filter located downstream of the aerosol-forming substrate rod and comprising a hollow tubular segment. Rod of the aerosol-forming substrate and the filter are assembled inside the wrapper. Aerosol-generating article comprises first and second air inlet zones, which are located on the wrapper and each of which is configured to allow air inlet into the inner region of the aerosol-generating article. First air inlet zone is located along the rod of the aerosol-forming substrate. Second air inlet zone is located along the hollow tubular segment. Aerosol-generating system comprises the disclosed aerosol-generating article and the aerosol-generating device having a far end, a mouth end and a heater. Casing forms a cavity of the device for detachable arrangement of the aerosol-generating article at the mouth end of the device. Aerosol-generating system is configured so that when the aerosol-generating article is placed inside the cavity of the device, fluid communication is provided between the inner region of the cavity of the aerosol-generating device and an area outside the aerosol-generating device due to the provision of fluid communication between the first air inlet zone of the aerosol-generating article placed inside the cavity of the device and the airflow channel of the aerosol-generating device.

EFFECT: increased cooling and aerosol nucleation.
