FIELD: tobacco industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices simulating the tobacco smoking process. Aerosol-generating article for generating an aerosol when heated has a rod of an aerosol-forming substrate containing an aerosol-forming substance. Content of the aerosol-forming substance in the aerosol-forming substrate is greater than 10 percent in terms of dry weight. Filter is located downstream of the aerosol-forming substrate rod. Rod of the aerosol-forming substrate and the filter are assembled inside the wrapper. Aerosol-generating article comprises first and second air inlet zones located on the wrapper. Each of the first and second air inlet zones is configured to allow air inlet into the interior of the aerosol-generating article. In addition, the second air inlet zone is located at a point located at least 1.5 mm downstream relative to the first air inlet zone. Aerosol-generating system comprises an aerosol-generating article and an aerosol-generating device having a distal end and a mouth end, casing, heater for heating aerosol-forming substrate. Aerosol-generating system is configured such that when the aerosol-generating article is placed inside the cavity of the device, establishing fluid communication between the inner area of the cavity of the device and the area outside the aerosol-generating device due to the establishment of fluid communication between the first air inlet zone of the aerosol-generating article placed inside the cavity of the device, and the air flow channel of the aerosol-generating device.

EFFECT: increased nucleation and aerosol cooling.
