FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic engineering and can be used to make microwave absorbers of electrovacuum microwave devices, for example, traveling-wave tubes (TWT) with improved operational characteristics. In the manufacture of microwave absorbers with variable resistance along the length for electrovacuum microwave devices, the workpiece of the dielectric absorber is placed into a sealed reactor and the reactor volume is blown with an inert gas, under normal conditions, performing a plasma discharge with power of 0.20-40 W in a flow of a gas mixture of inert gas-hydrocarbons containing 10–25 % of hydrocarbons of the total volume, wherein electrodes are moved along absorber workpiece during the application of a carbon film, and gas mix flow rate, discharge power, electrode displacement speed and process time are set by control program.
EFFECT: obtaining microwave absorbers with variable resistance along the length.
