SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing fucosylated oligosaccharide, including the following stages: a) providing at least one genetically modified cell that expresses a polypeptide capable of exhibiting β-1,3-N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase activity to transfer N-acetylglucosamine to lactose, expresses a polypeptide capable of exhibiting β-1,3-galactosyltransferase or β-1,4-galactosyltransferase activity leading to the formation of LNT or LNnT, and the said cell is genetically modified to express a heterologous fucosyltransferase, wherein the said heterologous fucosyltransferase is capable of transferring a fucose residue from a donor substrate to an acceptor molecule, wherein the said acceptor molecule is lactotetraose selected from LNT or LNnT; wherein the heterologous fucosyltransferase is selected from the group consisting of polypeptides represented by any of the following SEQ ID NO: 17–30, and functional polypeptide fragments represented by any of the following SEQ ID NO: 17–30; b) culturing the said at least one genetically modified cell in the presence of at least one carbon source and under conditions suitable for the at least one genetically modified cell to transfer a fucose residue from a donor substrate to an acceptor molecule; and c) optionally, isolating the said fucosylated oligosaccharide.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain fucosylated oligosaccharides with a high degree of efficiency.
