FIELD: foundry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous casting. Method of continuous casting of aluminium alloy includes supply of molten aluminium alloy from source into hole for melting of initial ingot in crystallizer, Formation of outer solid shell and advance of initial ingot from crystallizer at casting speed. Mixing is induced in the melt cavity with the help of casting speed, the intensity of which is determined for acceptance of the target profile by the solidification boundary of the alloy. At that, supply of molten aluminium alloy is controlled so that its jet destroys solidification boundary to thickness equal to or less than 10 mm. Said mixing allows to reduce thickness of hardening front, promotes agglomeration of gaseous hydrogen emitted at hardening front, and removal of impurities emitted at hardening front. Control of intensive mixing is used to increase casting speed without increasing thickness of hardening front.

EFFECT: reduced sensitivity of ingot to cracking.
