FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology. Mild myopia is corrected in patients with subclinical keratoconus, according to keratotopography, deviations of Belin/Ambrosio protocol indices with maximum corneal curvature of more than 45 dioptres, general deviation index is more than −1, corneal thickness at the thinnest point is less than 500 microns. Performing a single-step sequential transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy with evaporation of not more than 50 mcm of corneal thickness and crosslinking according to an accelerated protocol, with saturation of stroma with riboflavin solution for 30 minutes and subsequent UV irradiation of central cornea at current intensity 9 mcv for 10 minutes. Soft contact lens pre-impregnated with Ketorolac Tromethol 30 mg/1 ml is then put on for 12 hours. Operation is followed by anti-inflammatory and antihypertensive therapy including: Dexamethasone for 2 months, Dorzolamide 2 % and Timolol 0.5 % 1 drop 2 times day for 2 months. Sodium hyaluronate 1 drop 4 times day for 2 months, and a month after the operation, Cyclosporin A is additionally instilled 1 drop 2 times a day for up to 6 months.
EFFECT: method enables to strengthen the supporting properties of the cornea and restore visual functions in the patients with subclinical keratoconus and mild myopia.
