FIELD: medicine; obstetrics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict miscarriage in the first trimester during exacerbation of cytomegalovirus infection. In women, the content of cyclooxygenase 2 in ng/ml (COX-2) in the lysate of mononuclear cells is determined using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method. The concentration of prostaglandin E2 in pg/ml (PGE2) is determined in blood serum. Then the threat of miscarriage is predicted by comparing the prognostic index PI calculated using the discriminant function: PI=-44.28-5.395×COX-2+0.315×PGE2, with boundary value equal to 99.364. When PI is equal to or greater than the limit value, the presence of a threat of miscarriage in the first trimester is predicted with an exacerbation of cytomegalovirus infection. When PI is less than the boundary value, the absence of a threat of miscarriage in the first trimester is predicted with an exacerbation of cytomegalovirus infection.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the accuracy of predicting miscarriage in the first trimester during an exacerbation of cytomegalovirus infection by studying cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in the peripheral blood of pregnant women during an exacerbation of cytomegalovirus infection.
