FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: concentration measurement method used for indication and discrete measurement of the level of electrically conductive and polar liquids with low electrical conductivity. When measuring the liquid level, a submersible level gauge with a sealed housing is used, on different outer walls of which there are horizontal electrodes made of the same metal, electrically insulated from each other, and one or more vertical electrodes. Horizontal electrodes are placed at different heights, the area of the vertical electrodes is larger than the area of the horizontal ones, and ribs or corners are provided between the electrodes on the level gauge body. The liquid level is determined by recording the concentration EMF on electrode pairs that form concentration elements in contact with the measured liquid.

EFFECT: increase in the speed and reliability of concentration level measurements in conditions of the formation of liquid films on the level gauge body, as well as in conditions of measuring the level of small volumes of liquids.
