FASTING BIORELEVANT MEDIUM OF CATTLE STOMACH Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/15

Abstract RU 2822252 C1

FIELD: analytical chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used in medical, veterinary and other biological studies to assess bioavailability of preparations, simulation of their dissolution and absorption processes, as well as for study of peculiarities of cattle digestion processes, namely to biorelevant medium of cattle stomach on an empty stomach. Fasting biorelevant medium of cattle stomach, containing lecithin, potassium chloride, sodium hydroxide and demineralised water, which additionally contains bovine bile and enzymes, which are pepsin, alpha-amylase with concentration of 800 units/ml, cellulase with concentration of 4,000 units/ml, protease with concentration of 50,000 units/g, lipase with concentration of 2,000,000 units/g and pectinase with concentration of 35 units/g at the following ratio of components per 1 l of demineralised water: lecithin 0.75 mcmol/l; potassium chloride 7.7 g; sodium hydroxide to provide pH 6.5; demineralised water 1 l; bovine bile 3 g/l; pepsin 3.9 g; alpha-amylase with concentration of 800 units/ml to ensure activity of 10,000; cellulase with concentration of 4,000 units/ml to ensure activity of 12,000; protease with concentration of 50,000 units/g to ensure activity of 30,000; lipase with concentration of 2,000,000 units/g to ensure activity of 1,000,000; pectinase with concentration of 35 units/g to ensure activity of 125.

EFFECT: above described medium simulates gastric juice of cattle in vitro on an empty stomach with high reliability.
