METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF SURVIVAL RATE OF PATIENTS WITH STABLE ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/92 A61B5/117

Abstract RU 2822410 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cardiology and can be used to determine risk of fatal outcome in patients with stable ischemic heart disease (IHD). Patient undergoes clinical and instrumental examination and identifies predictors of a high risk of life-threatening complications. Patients diagnosed with ischemic heart disease, stable exertional angina are subjected to a biochemical blood test to measure total cholesterol and a neurological examination to diagnose concomitant encephalopathy. Obtained results are used to calculate the percentage risk of lethal outcome for next 4 years for each specific patient with stable coronary artery disease by formula hi(t)=h0(t)×exp(1.387×X1+3.511×X2), where hi(t) is predicted risk of lethal outcome for ith patient, %; h0(t) is baseline risk of fatal outcome for the time period for next 4 years, %, according to Table 1; X1 is total cholesterol level, mmol/l; X2 is concomitant encephalopathy: 0 is absence, 1 is presence.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of determining the risk of fatal outcome in the patients with stable coronary artery disease by determining the values, which can be obtained without using complex diagnostic methods in routine clinical practice: determining the level of total cholesterol in the blood and the presence of concomitant encephalopathy.
