FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to a device for percutaneous application of CO2 for the purpose of treating chronic wounds or neuropathy, use of the device and a method of operating the device. Device comprises therapeutic chamber, part of which is configured to receive part of patient's body for supply of CO2. Device includes inlet/outlet tube connecting chamber with CO2 distribution system. Inlet/outlet tube is connected to the chamber by means of a valve. Device has CO2 distribution system containing body, where the first tube with the first valve for supplying CO2 from the cylinder or reservoir is installed, the second tube with the second valve for air suction from the chamber. First and second tubes are integrated into an inlet/outlet tube before the valves. Device has a device for supplying an air flow through said valves and an inlet/outlet pipe and an air flow measuring device for measuring air flow through the valve on the inlet/outlet pipe. Device includes a reservoir for storage of CO2 under pressure from 1 to 5 bar, connected to the second tube. Device contains an outlet tube for exhaust of waste air from the chamber through the wall to the external environment of the room, where the device is installed, and a cylinder for storage of CO2, which is connected to CO2 distribution system or to the reservoir. Use of the device is intended for therapy. In the case of flexible chambers, the method of operation of the device involves first attachment of the chamber to the inlet/outlet tube by means of a valve or a gate valve. Method involves a step of placing a part of the patient's body into a chamber and sealing the chamber. Method includes a step of pumping out all the air from the chamber with the first valve by means of a fan and directing all the pumped out air outside the room where the device is used. Method includes a step of directing CO2 from a cylinder into CO2 distribution system or a reservoir, thereby expanding CO2 in the reservoir to reduce the pressure and increase the temperature of CO2. Method includes a step of closing the first valve and opening the second valve for supplying air into the chamber, and/or opening the third valve for supplying 100% CO2 into the chamber. Method includes a step after introduction of CO2, suction of air with CO2 from the chamber through an outlet tube and output outside the room where the device is installed.
EFFECT: improved blood circulation, as well as nutritional perfusion of the treated area.
