SUBSTANCE: active polymer optical fiber consisting of a polymer core containing luminophores and a polymer reflecting shell, characterized by that the active polymer optical fiber is obtained by applying a reflecting shell from a molten fluoropolymer based on vinylidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene on a polystyrene or polystyrene copolymer core, containing organosilicon phosphors OSL-8 with absorption spectrum at 302 nm, 401 nm, emission spectrum at 501 nm or organosilicon phosphors OSL-31 with absorption spectrum at 402 nm, luminescence spectrum at 349 nm and 485 nm.

EFFECT: high reliability of the active polymer optical fiber, more uniform distribution of radiation in the visible part of the spectrum.
