FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to modification of cast aluminium alloys. Aluminium strip is recrystallized at temperature of 200-300 °C, are folded along the edges, the modifier is filled in the form of friable nanodispersed powder based on nanocarbon, all edges of the aluminium tape are sealed. Aluminium tape with thickness of 2-3 mm is used, before filling the modifier, a recess for the plates is made, wherein said modifier is poured onto the belt bottom and between the plates to pass the multilayer belt through rolls to press the modifier into the aluminium belt and plates to produce a modifier in the form of an aluminium multilayer rod.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to completely assimilate the modifier with the alloy and improve the mechanical and operational characteristics of the castings made from these alloys by reducing the size of aluminium dendrites, α-solid solution, eutectic and primary silicon crystals.
