FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, in particular to grafts in the form of a patch for transplantation of cells into solid organs. Graft is coated with a biodegradable, biocompatible, bioabsorbable substrate used to attach the graft to the target area. Cells in the graft migrate into the tissue and throughout the tissue so that they are uniformly distributed in the recipient's tissue for two weeks. Mechanisms by which donor cells are transplanted and integrated into an organ or tissue involve multiple membrane-associated and secreted forms of MMP.
EFFECT: transplants can be used to repair affected organs or to create models of painful conditions in experimental hosts.
