FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of chemistry and technology of producing cooling lubricants, specifically to a method of producing fatty acid esters from vegetable oil production wastes, which involves extraction of essential oil and triglycerides of fatty acids from cakes of essential oil crops with 95% ethanol at a ratio of mass of crushed cake to ethanol of 1:5, while stirring for 5-6 hours, followed by filtration of the extract by natural filtration. Method is characterized by the fact that the process of re-esterification of a mixture of essential oils and triglycerides of carboxylic acids is carried out in presence of 0.2 wt.% sodium ethylate as a catalyst at boiling point of mixture of 79-80 °C for 5 hours, with constant stirring on a magnetic mixer.
EFFECT: simplification of the production of complex ethyl esters of carboxylic acids of essential oils with simultaneous regeneration of ethanol.
