SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental medicine, namely to radiation therapy, and is aimed at determining the level of genetic damage in cells outside the radiation target (tumour) on the path of charged particle beams during combined exposure to carbon ions and protons. Method can be used for preliminary assessment of radiation complications, as well as risks/remote consequences when developing ion-proton radiation therapy regimens for the purpose of treating patients with malignant neoplasms.

EFFECT: method enables determining the level of genetic damage in cells exposed to radiation in the area in which healthy tissues are found during the combined radiation therapy.
